Bio

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Kentucky math department. Prior to that I received my BA at Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN where I majored in Math and received an education endorsement. My primary research interests are in chip firing on graphs and computing the gonality of various families of graphs. I am also interested in other discrete topics such as Mahonian statistics.

 

I am deeply passionate about math pedagogy and teaching in general. I also feel strongly in the importance in creating a learning environment that is equitable and welcoming to students from underrepresented groups.

I am the founder and organizer of the DART Summer Session, which is a research work group aimed at helping young mathematicians get experience collaborating on research and writing papers. As a graduate student, I feel the math community as a whole should foster more opportunities that help young mathematicians gain the experience needed to enter the job market. 

​

Aside from math, my passions include music production, coffee drinking, and cheering on sports teams from Minnesota.
