Bio

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Kentucky math department. Prior to that I received my BA at Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN where I majored in Math and received an education endorsement. My primary research interests are in chip firing on graphs and computing the gonality of various families of graphs. I am also interested in other discrete topics such as Mahonian statistics.

I am deeply passionate about math pedagogy and teaching in general. I also feel strongly in the importance in creating a learning environment that is equitable and welcoming to students from underrepresented groups.

I am the founder and organizer of the DART Summer Session, which is a research work group aimed at helping young mathematicians get experience collaborating on research and writing papers. As a graduate student, I feel the math community as a whole should foster more opportunities that help young mathematicians gain the experience needed to enter the job market.

Aside from math, my passions include music production, coffee drinking, and cheering on sports teams from Minnesota.
